About me

Perhaps, I should introduce myself a little bit, shouldn’t I?

I started learning to play the piano when I was 3 years old, and I got my first student when I was 8. The practice of teaching other people to play the piano was an interesting and relaxing experience for me, especially when I see them bewildered or amazed. That was also when I was accepted to Vietnam’s National Academy of Music’s highly selective Intermediate 9-year Professional Piano programme, and started pursuing a long journey with classical music.

I was always a composing enthusiast, and I believe that the rules of music were meant to be broken, to be explored. By adhering to the rigid theories of music, we will eventually kill the art. Thus, I fully endorse creativity and emotion, which is sometimes referred to as “feel”. My viewpoint may be somewhat unorthodox compared to that of other classical musicians, but it doesn’t matter, I love my kind of music.

A few years ago, a friend of mine confessed to me the difficulties he faced while learning to play the piano. He couldn’t find the music sheets of the songs he loved, and even if he did the price was relatively expensive. I realized that if people were able to access the resources they needed easily, they would’ve had more motivation to learn the piano – and who knows, a career in music? The deep knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years allow me to help them, thus drawing more people into the field. That was when I decided to kickstart this website, dedicated to providing novice-level music sheets, as well as sharing tips and advice. I have been doing this for my friends, and now I want to help other people out there who want to embark on this journey as well.

I was fortunate enough to receive a lot of help and support while working on this project, one that I have always wanted to do. My mother and Hung provided me with the technical foundation for the website, while my friend Ngoc Linh helped me manage funding and promotion. My gratitude should also be given to a secret individual, who gave me the motivation to build this website from scratch.

At the end of the day, this website can’t succeed without the support of you guys, those who are currently reading this very line right now. I hope my advice, experience, and resources will help you on your musical journey. My deepest thanks to all of you!
